My review of the Lexington Candy Shop is 4 stars. They have an extensive, impressive collection of different versions of cokes, and they do make Coca-Cola the traditional way, with soda water and syrup. The root beer float is a good choice and so are the silver dollar pancakes. The food is pretty decent, it is not amazing. They definitely have some very good options on there but you kind of get a homemade sense of your meal. The service is not good, they are not friendly and do not provide the customer with a sense of warmth of comfort in any way. They rush your order and their main ingredient is certainly not love, for the multiple times I have visited this establishment the tables have been pretty much left untouched from the previous party usually with syrup marks and open condiments. Despite what some photos may portray, the barstools are old and rundown, so are the booth seats. The bathrooms here are just blatantly disgusting. They look like they have not been touched in years and that some of their customers are incompetent. Overall, I feel as though my review highlights the negatives of the establishment more then the positives, so I would not judge it ENTIRELY based on this review.

Such a fun diner! Their burgers are really good, and, if you like bacon on yours, you can specify how crispy or soft you want yours (crispy is always a win in my opinion). Their onion rings were also really good, and they gave a reasonable amount (unlike many establishments, who only ever give 6 for a high price). Their ice cream soda was tasty too; I got the cookies and cream over cocoa cola. The staff was really nice too. Would come back!

Cute fun place. There was a line that progressed quickly. Food was good but pricey. You pay for the experience. Poor kid was waiting on all the tables alone with a packed house. They are super nice here, it just took long to get my drink after my food and a very long time for my check. The bathroom was closed for what they said storage issues. It was a one time thing. Try it. They must get annoyed with people coming in just to take pictures.

An absolutely classics ~100 year old NYC eatery serving up solid food and old fashioned drinks. This place is celebrating their 99th year in business, and it's absolutely an icon. They still serve Coca Cola mixed straight from the syrup with seltzer from the soda fountain, and can top it off with a scoop of ice cream for a float. Order breakfast all day, or try one of their Butter Burgers -- literally a burger with a massive scoop of butter melting on top. Grab a seat at stools at the original counter, or squeeze into a cozy booth. There might be a bit of a line outside, the service is nothing incredible, and the prices are pretty steep, but that's how it is for small old places like this to survive. It's worth the trip for the experience!
